We are accepting applications to fill two full time, paid apprentice positions in Middletown, NY. The ideal individual will be eager to learn and grow.
The Electro Mechanical Apprentice will be responsible for learning about and performing installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electromechanical machinery in a progressive manner according to the formal NYS DOL Apprentice Program
Hours: 9:50 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Elna Magnetics is looking for a dedicated, conscientious individual in our gapping department. If you are ambitious, like learning new things and want a career rather than a job we want to talk to you.
We provide standard magnetic cores and accessories as an authorized distributor of several product lines and through our manufacturing services department we machine custom products to meet customer specifications.
Our Machine Operators are responsible for operating various pieces of machine shop equipment used to manufacture magnetic products. Operators may perform setups and adjustments on specific machines.

TITLE: CNC MACHINIST : SET UP / OPERATOR
REPORTS TO: Director of Precision Manufacturing
With minimal supervision sets up the necessary tools, machines, and programs to fabricate and sometimes modify and repair production parts within tight tolerances. Trains others to use machine shop equipment and inspects their work for accuracy and quality as directed. Provides support for maintaining accurate production documentation. Makes recommended changes to effect improvements in fabrication.
This position qualifies for a potential apprenticeship opportunity. A qualified candidate may be eligible to enter a free on the job, pay as you learn apprenticeship program sponsored by the Department of Labor. Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge at the level of a machinist in training, with moderate milling, turning and grinding experience is necessary to perform this work successfully. Normally a four year apprenticeship program in Machining would be the minimum training for this job. Also, 3 years of diverse industrial machine shop work would be desired. Some other combination of training, experience and ability may provide an acceptable equivalent to the above.
