Company: SPOG Trailers
Position: Field Manufacturing Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience
Industry: Trailer Manufacturing | Solar Energy | Mobile Power Systems

The Field Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for managing the complete manufacturing process of SPOG solar-powered cargo trailers—from the bare trailer through final assembly, testing, quality control, and
delivery.

This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership position. We are looking for someone who can manage
employees, organize production, solve problems on the floor, maintain quality standards, and keep trailers moving through production on schedule.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader, not someone who only manages from an office. You
should be comfortable walking the production floor, inspecting work, solving technical problems, coordinating
employees and materials, and taking ownership of getting every trailer completed correctly and on schedule.
Experience in cargo trailers, RV manufacturing, automotive assembly, fabrication, electrical systems,
solar, battery storage, HVAC, or construction would be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing and assembly of SPOG solar-powered cargo trailers.
• Manage and coordinate production employees, technicians, fabricators, electricians, and installers.
• Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
• Assign work and ensure employees understand production requirements.
• Track each trailer through the complete manufacturing process.
• Coordinate installation of solar panels, battery systems, inverters, electrical panels, wiring, outlets, lighting,
HVAC, insulation, interior walls, E-track, cabinetry, and other components.
• Ensure materials and components are available before each stage of production.
• Work with purchasing and management to identify and resolve material shortages.
• Maintain quality-control standards throughout production.
• Inspect workmanship and completed trailers before final delivery.
• Ensure electrical, mechanical, structural, and solar installations follow approved designs and specifications.
• Troubleshoot production problems and develop practical solutions.
• Improve manufacturing processes to reduce production time and unnecessary material or labor costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing facility.
• Enforce company safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Train new manufacturing employees and develop standardized assembly procedures.
• Track employee productivity and overall manufacturing performance.
• Coordinate custom trailer builds and ensure customer specifications are followed.
• Report production progress, delays, material issues, and quality concerns directly to company leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, trailer manufacturing, automotive manufacturing,
construction management, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience supervising manufacturing or production employees.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflow and production scheduling.
• Experience with electrical systems, solar, battery storage, HVAC, fabrication, automotive, RV, or trailer
manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trailers and production stages simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and employee-management skills.
• Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to maintain production deadlines without sacrificing quality or safety.
