Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on rubber processing equipment such die cut and molding machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support continuous production.
  • Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
  • Document all maintenance activities in logs or digital maintenance systems.
  • Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment or modifications to existing systems.
  • Collaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Comply with safety regulations including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and proper use of tools and PPE.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; rubber or plastics industry experience is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools; welding or fabrication experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting to 50 lbs. and working in industrial conditions (heat, noise, standing for long periods).

Preferred Skills:

  • Forklift or man-lift certification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
