Overview

Full time permanent position for an Electro-mechanical Technician. Responsible for assembly, wiring, troubleshooting and repair of our wastewater treatment equipment, systems and machinery. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role critical to our strategic growth.

 

Salary range: $30.00-$35.00 hr. depending on skills

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

Sabo Industrial is seeking a mechanically inclined and motivated individual to join our team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. This position requires the setup, operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment related to the wastewater treatment industry to include floats, pumps, sensors, plc, motorized and mechanical valves, flow meters, various electronics and plumbing assembly. Light welding capability is required as well as the ability to create 3D drawings of equipment and site layouts.

 

You will provide full technical support to our production facilities manufacturing equipment including product change-over and set-ups, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the highest quality standards.

 

Example Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and sludge management.

 

· Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.

 

· Maintaining equipment historical reference by documenting actions.

 

· Self-motivated, detail oriented, analytical individuals who have strong troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming skills.

 

· Can think well on their feet and will not shy away from technical challenges.

 

· Requires good interpersonal and computer skills and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical prints.

 

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision, follow written instructions from operating and repair manuals to troubleshoot malfunctions using test equipment to quickly determine and effect repairs and then follow-up by communicating and documenting all pertinent information.

 

· Communicates engineering issues and creates work requests

 

· Maintain product quality standards and specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, adjusting controls and replacing tooling.

Qualifications

· Technical School degree-OR-equivalent training

· 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a high-speed industrial environment

· Demonstrate the desire to continually improve your skills and learn new systems

· Diagnosis and modification of PLC programs and electrical circuitry

· Practical knowledge in Electronics Technology, Mechanics, Industrial Technology, Machine.

· Proficiency in electrical schematics, mechanical/dimensional blue prints, mechanics, pneumatics, control electricity

· Have a working knowledge of basic machinery preventive maintenance and repair.

· Knowledge of Preventative maintenance software and automated building control systems knowledge a plus.

· Ability to work with PLC-driven machines and have an understanding of the software

· Experience with high voltage 230V/460V and 24V DC control circuits.
