This is a full-time entry-level position that includes on-site, hands-on technical training. The position is located in Peekskill, NY. Compensation is $16/hr and includes health benefits, accrued PTO, and paid holidays off. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
As a mechanical assembler, you’ll be responsible for the sub and main assembly of our Desktop CNC Milling Machine. Assembly begins with quality control checks of all individual components that go into the machine and proper disposition of non conforming parts or components. In addition, you’ll be responsible for documentation throughout the entire process. A mechanical assembler can be assigned to any and all parts of the assembly process from sub-assembly and main assembly to testing and documentation. A good candidate will have a strong desire to learn about manufacturing and assembly, will gain experience using hand tools and metrology equipment, working with technology, and working in a team environment.
● Love of tinkering and building
● Capable of working with hand tools and measurement equipment
● Past employment with hardware/engineering/construction a plus, but not required
