The selected individual will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical engineering of architectural lighting fixtures in a manufacturing environment.


  • Design and documentation of custom fixtures and modifications to existing fixtures to meet customers’ requests.
  • Cost analysis and ROI calculations.
  • Design activities, documentation control, engineering change coordination, BOM development and maintenance.
  • Developing, reporting on and attaining project schedules and goals.
  • Drive product cost reduction through design for manufacturability and assembly initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing.
  • Direct contact with inside sales and suppliers.
  • Stays current with the latest in Lighting Technology.


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but Associates and trade experienced encouraged to apply
  • 3+ years manufacturing/product design experience
  • Solidworks expertise required
  • Experience in metal fabrication and electro/mechanical manufacturing assembly
  • Lighting Experience is preferred but not required
