The CNC Machinist also provides support for maintaining accurate production documentation, and makes recommended changes to effect improvements in fabrication.
Minimum knowledge at the level of a machinist in training, with moderate milling, turning and grinding experience is necessary to perform this work successfully. Normally a four year apprenticeship program in Machining would be the minimum training for this job. Also, 3 years of diverse industrial machine shop work would be desired.
