    Elna Magnetic's fast-paced office is seeking a full time, experienced Chief Financial Officer with a requirement of manufacturing and cost accounting experience. The main responsibility is to manage and direct the overall accounting function in support of the organization and its ultimate goals and objectives for profitability and growth. This position serves as a financial adviser to the President as well as the entire organization by providing financial analysis, planning and budget control. Prepares, reviews, analyzes and interprets monthly financial reports and provides recommendations. While overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful CFO will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our company.

    Responsibilities

    • First line responsibility for all accounting functions
    • Manage financial planning and analysis
    • Execute the financial strategy of the company
    • Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
    • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
    • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
    • Reviews all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation
    • Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    • Recommends changes in the Accounting as well as other departments for efficiency, cost improvement and improved reports of financial status and results.
    • Assists with the implementation of new monthly accounting reports
    • Prepares monthly profit and loss reports assuming primary responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Works directly with the corporate CPA firm to assemble quarterly accountants reports in a timely and accurate fashion
    • Mentor and manage accounting staff with responsibility of performance evaluations

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Accounting
    • CPA Preferred
    • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Minimum of five solid years’ of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
    • Knowledge of Epicor Software is a plus
    • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
    • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP
