Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a manufacturer of ferrite cores used in the electronics industry. Our Powder Processing facility is located in Flat Rock (Crawford County), Illinois.

We have an immediate opening for a Powder Process Technician in our facility located in Flat Rock, Illinois.
This is a hands-on position, but will also have responsibility to oversee subordinates in the preparation and processing of Powder manufacturing.
This individual will schedule the production of powder using our corporate ERP system and interacting with the Purchasing Department to ensure adequate raw material supply.
This individual will also work with our R&D department, on new or improved raw materials and production methods, production testing and trials.
He/She will be responsible for all production equipment, oversee repairs and installation, provide input for any new equipment, and schedule maintenance.
This individual will be responsible for enforcing all required safety precautions, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology (or similar discipline) or proven equivalent experience is a minimum requirement.
Candidates should have strong math skills, with the ability to understand conversion from Metric to English units of measure. Must have good command of using Excel and Word programs.
Knowledge of Chemistry or Materials Science strongly preferred.
Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
Excellent communication skills are necessary as this position will interact with various departments located at Corporate Headquarters, (Wallkill, New York).
During certain operations, the individual in this position may be required to wear a respirator. The employee must be physically capable of passing a pulmonary function test and appropriate physical exam. Also, the respirator fit test prohibits any facial hair that would cause an improper fit.
