Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a manufacturing company located in the scenic area of the Mid-Hudson Valley, New York State. Fair-Rite has been in business since 1952 and is the largest United States manufacturer of ferrite cores, rods and other designs for the electronics industry.


We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. We are expanding our sales and marketing function and are looking to fill a position of Application Engineer.

The Application Engineer will provide technical knowledge about our products, so as to leverage our engineering and design services to facilitate solutions for our customers.


Responsibilities will include writing white papers explaining the use of our products in various applications, developing presentation materials for delivery either in person or through other media (such as webinars), keeping up-to-date on the latest advancements in ferrite and its applications and communicating this knowledge to others within and outside the organization.


The Application Engineer will need to work with other engineers, sales managers, or directly with customers to gather and deliver required information.


The Application Engineer will be involved from design, through development and delivery of new products. Responsibilities will include interfacing with field sales managers and customers to support customer design requirements. The Application Engineer will have responsibility for actively managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process and work closely with our process engineers to determine feasibility of design. Must be able to identify all technical issues of potential products and applications.





Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Applied Physics (BSAP) preferred

Strong understanding analog circuits.

Experience with design tools, such as Cad and SolidWorks.

Must have excellent communication skills; including written and verbal.

Must be able to demonstrate command of using Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Visio.

Must be able to demonstrate previous experience with a design project from concept to completion.

Requires a self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multitask and deal with pressure

Knowledge of ferromagnetic materials is a plus.
